Get to know Doug Koonce

With an eye for detail and a love for retracing the steps of the original surveyor to correctly find the location of a boundary line, Doug is an established and experienced land surveyor.

Most of his work now focuses on Middle Tennessee, doing countless boundaries: farms, building lots, fence surveys, and subdivisons. Doug's work has previously taken him to North Carolina, where he worked on GPS control for new USGS Quadrangle maps. He's also spent time in Mississippi, where he held his license for years, working to restart development after hurricane Katrina.

Doug has worked in rock quarries throughout Alabama, Mississippi, and Tennessee, and Superfund sites, surveying hazardous areas for land reclamation. He has completed many topographic surveys, both for engineers and developers. Above it all, Doug enjoys walking the land to ensure the final product accurately represents the conditions on the ground.
